PITTSBURGH PA - Chatham's Women's Soccer took on Carlow today and came out on top in a 2-0 win.
The game started out on a high note for the Cougars as
Ainsley Smith was able to test the Carlow goalie Lyndsey Szekley in the first forty seconds of the match.
Chatham would continue their onslaught of offense throughout the first half and into the second. Their efforts paid off in the 56' minute with the first goal of the game being scored by Alizabeth Gallup with an assist from
Ainsley Smith.
As the game progressed, Carlow seemed to be no match for the Chatham attack. The Cougars would eventually secure their victory in the 88' minute with a goal from
Halle Marsalis who brought the game to 2-0.
The cougars would play out the final minutes and collect their second victory of the year.
The Womens Soccer Team will be back in action on Saturday September 14, against PSU Altoona with kickoff set for 1pm.
