NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Softball 9-25 (5-13) went on the road to New Wilmington, Pa to play the Titans of Westminster College. The Titans got the best of the Cougars in both contests, winning 3-2 in game one and 11-0 in game two.
Game one was quite pitcher's dual. The Titans got the scoring started with a run in the second inning to lead 1-0. The Cougars tied things up in the fourth the Cougars played small ball. Junior
Isabelle Griswold stole second and Grad
Savanna Ahlborn came in to score on the throwing error by Westminster's catcher. The Cougars would then take the lead in the following inning when Ahlborn hit an RBI single through the left side. Things would stay at 2-1 until the seventh. Down to their final three outs, Westminster hit a solo homerun with one out to tie the game up. The Titans would end up scoring another run in the inning to walk it off on the Cougars in game one by the score of 3-2.
Sophomore
Victoria Murren went the distance for the Cougars. Murren went 6.1 innings, scattered six hits, two runs, four walks, and had five strikeouts.
The Cougars had eight hits in the contest. Two each from Sophomore
Ciera Jimenez and
Savanna Ahlborn.
Game two was much different than game one. Westminster scored in each of the first four innings including three in the second and six in the third. Two Cougar errors helped push the Titans to victory in game two. Chatham was unable to keep up with the Westminster hot bats as they were defeated 11-0 in five innings.
Chatham had two hits in the contest coming from Sophomore

Next up for Softball: Cougars will come home for Saturday's double header matchup versus the Thiel Tomcats. With it being their last home games of the season, it will be Senior day. Please come out Saturday morning at 10 AM & 12 PM to support our Seniors: Grad
