MEADVILLE, Pa. - Chatham Men's Lacrosse (7-7, 2-3) took an 11-8 loss against the Allegheny Gators (8-5, 6-0) on Wednesday at the Robertson Blue Turf.

Isaac Joshi tallied a hat trick to lead the Cougar offense. Sophomore

Following a lightning delay of two hours, the Gators blanked the Cougars in the first quarter on their way to a 4-0 lead. They increased the lead to 5-0 before Rigdon got Chatham on the board. After two more Allegheny goals, Joshi scored with 10 seconds left in the half to make it 7-2.Â
In the third quarter, the Gators went up 8-2 before the Cougars cut it to 8-4 with goals from Lubawy and Joshi. Allegheny would score the last goal of the period to regain a five-goal lead. Chatham scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter to pull within three, but responded with a quick goal. After over eight scoreless minutes, the Gators tacked on another goal. The Cougars scored twice in the final minute, but it was too little too late.
Allegheny led in shots 43-38. The Cougars were 1-5 on extra-man opportunities, while the Gators were 0-3.
Men's Lacrosse returns to action Saturday at Franciscan.
