CRESSON, Pa. - The Cougars dropped their third consecutive match in a sweep to the Mount Aloysius Mounties (8-12, 1-5 AMCC). Chatham only held the lead twice in all three sets.
Freshman
Tim McCabe had a match-high 14 kills to go along with an assist and four digs. Classmate
Benjamin Shelestak had 12 kills with an ace and seven digs. Freshman

Maximilian Barrett (3) added six kills.
Senior
Coulter Chaffee tallied 24 assists and four digs, while freshman
Alex Moncello finished with 10 digs.
The Cougars took an early 4-2 advantage in set one, but that would be the only lead they earned. Chatham was within two (19-21) before the Mounties took the set 25-20.
Chatham trailed all of set two. A Mounties service error ignited a 5-0 Cougar run late in the set to bring them within three (21-24). However, Mount Aloysius put the set away on the next point after hitting .355.
McCabe's 12th kill of the evening gave the Cougars a 2-1 lead in the final set. Both teams traded blows before a 4-0 Mounties run gave them a five-point advantage over the Cougars (10-15). Mount Aloysius outscored Chatham 10-7 the rest of the way to take the match in three sets.
The Purple and Grey will host Bethany for their final home game of the season on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
