PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Feb. 8, 2024 - After leading two sets to none, the Cougars were defeated in five by Mount Aloysius (3-5, 0-1 AMCC). The team recorded their second-most errors of the season at 34 on their way to hitting .110. Chatham now stands at 3-6 on the year.

Benjamin Shelestak had a match-high 22 points, followed by first-year

Kyle Penn (7) combined for 15 points. Freshman
Alex Moncello tied a season-high 25 assists, while senior
Coulter Chaffee set up 15 kills. Serving continued to be a problem for the Cougars as they tallied double-digit errors (15) for the fifth consecutive game. However, freshmen
Mannix McKaveney and Penn both had two aces in the match.
Defensively, three Cougars recorded double-digit digs, led by freshman
Luis Carrasquillo's 17. Penn (11) and Shelestak (10) combined for 21 digs on the evening. McCabe, MccKavaney and Barrett all recorded two block assists as Chatham tied for its second-highest amount of blocks (5) this year.
The Purple and Grey have gone 2-3 over their last five matches and will look to bounce back against Geneva on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
