GROVE CITY, Pa. - Chatham Men's Basketball (17-8, 15-5) won its seventh straight game on Saturday with a 56-53 last-second win over the Grove City Wolverines (13-12, 9-11) to close the regular season. With the win, the Cougars set a new program record from conference wins in a season.

Elijah Sutton led the way for the Cougars with 13 points on 4-13 shooting. Junior
Blaine Gartley had 10 points with two rebounds, two assists and two steals while senior
Luca Robinson scored nine points and grabbed 10 boards. Sophomore
Diaun Pinkett led the game with 12 rebounds to go along with his six points.
After Grove City scored the first basket of the game, Chatham went on a 12-2 run to take an early eight-point lead. That lead increased to 10 before an extended 20-7 stretch gave the Wolverines a 29-26 advantage. Grove City would go into the halftime break leading by two.
The Wolverines scored the first three points of the half to increase their lead to five, but that was the largest lead either team would see in the second half, which was neck and neck until the final buzzer. Geoffrey Helm knocked down a corner three with 3.4 seconds left to propel the Cougars to victory.
Chatham shot just 32.1% (18-56) from the field and 28.6% (6-21) from deep, but held Grove City to even lower marks at 30% (18-60) from the field and 21.7% (5-23) from three-point range. The Cougars narrowly won the board battle 45-44 and each team committed 13 turnovers.
Men's Basketball finishes the regular season as the three seed in the PAC and will host #6 Bethany in the opening round of the PAC Tournament on Tuesday night at the AFC.
