GREENVILLE, Pa. - Feb. 12, 2024 - Chatham's fourth consecutive loss came against Thiel (5-7, 0-0 AMCC). The Cougars struggled to hit (.063) as the Tomcats had an efficient night (.392).

The first set saw the Cougars hit negative (-.042). Chatham was within three before the Tomcats took the set 25-15.
In the second set, Chatham was within four (13-17) before Thiel scored six straight which included a setting error and two attacking errors by the Cougars. The men stalled the Tomcats on a 4-1 run before the set ended 25-17.
The final set was Chatham's best hitting-wise (.208), but Thiel was rolling, netting a .550 hitting percentage. The Cougars trailed by as many as 10 (10-20) before the Tomcats closed the match on a 5-2 run, winning the set 25-13.
The Cougars will have multiple opportunities to bounce back starting Tuesday as they host Wilson at 7 p.m.
