Pittsburgh, Pa. - On Saturday the Cougars (0-6-1) completed their weekend set against the Manhattanville Valiants (2-4). The Cougars fell by a score of 5-2.

In the first period the Cougars lit up the horn first when Rainey Jessup deflected a pass and took it the length of the ice and scored the first goal of the game for her second goal of the season. That gave the Cougars their first lead since the second period at Lebanon Valley on November 5th.

In the second period the Cougars again struck first growing their lead to 2-0 when Sophia Taylor scored her fourth goal of the season. The Valiants answered back with a goal of their own making the score 2-1 in favor of the Cougars heading into the final period.

In the third period the Valiants went on the offensive and scored a power play goal two minutes into the period to tie the game 2-2. After that they would score another three goals and win the game 5-2. Samantha Brophy made 38 of 42 save attempts.

The Cougars will be back in action on November 26th, when they travel to Angola, Ind. for a 7:30 PM puck drop against Trine.
