PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Women's Volleyball erased a 2-1 deficit against Thiel College for the second time in 4 days to defeat the Tomcats 3-2 (25-15, 23-25, 9-25, 25-9, 15-12) and advance to the PAC Tournament semifinals.
                 Sophomore
Zoie Bateman recorded 11 kills to lead the Cougars (12-12, 7-3 PAC) in front of a packed home gym. Bateman also blocked 3 Tomcat attacks and struck the match-winning kill over the Thiel block to give Chatham a dramatic 5-set victory. Sophomore
Becca Gesner recorded 9 kills and served up 3 aces for the Cougars. Junior
Sierra Ricci recorded 3 aces and registered a game high 34 digs. Senior
Natalie Keough had a game high 4 blocks and 37 assists. Senior
Alyssa Leskovac recorded 8 kills and 19 digs for Chatham. In the third set, Leskovac tallied the 1,000th dig of her career. The Cougars' 10-6 advantage in service aces was enough to provide the difference in the PAC Tournament Quarterfinal matchup.
                 Junior Daisy Jenness recorded a game high 16 kills for the Tomcats (17-9, 5-5). Jenness and  Sophomore Arin DeLattre recorded 3 blocks each for Thiel. Junior Carlie Reynolds provided the Tomcat attack with 33 assists. Senior Erica Gregory recorded 24 digs for Thiel, whose season will come to a close with back-to-back defeats at Chatham by a combined 7 points.
                 Chatham will travel to Saint Vincent in the next round of the PAC Tournament, where a berth in the PAC Championship game will be on the line. First serve will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Robert S. Carey Center.
