PITTSBURGH PA - The Chatham Women's Soccer team traveled to Geneva College this evening and took home a big win after almost a month without a win.
The Cougars were all over the Golden Tornadoes tonight, out-shooting Geneva 18-9 with 10 of those shots being on target. The Cougars also collected 6 corners to Geneva's 3.
The winning and only goal of the match, would come off the foot of none other than
Ainsley Smith in the 60' minute of play. Smith, now with 6 goals on the season, was unassisted in her late goal and the Cougars would finish up the match with a 1-0 win over Geneva. Their first win since October 2 against Theil College.
The Women's Soccer Team, now 2-5-2 in the PAC, will hope to keep the momentum going against Saint Vincent on Saturday, October 26. Kickoff for that game is set for 3:30.
