PITTSBURGH PA - The Cougars suffered a crushing defeat against PAC rivals Grove City this afternoon.
Grove City, currently second in the Women's Soccer PAC standings, got things underway with their first goal in the 34' minute, scored by Tori Stevens and assisted by Kiara White. It was only four minutes later that Grove City would find themselves celebrating once again. Marina Hahn would extend Grove City's lead, 2-0, with an assist from Annie Vannoy. The first half would end 2-0 in Grove City's favor.
City kept their offense rolling as the second half got underway. Emma Dailey would collect her third goal of the year in the 68' minute, with an assist from Marina Hahn, to extend the Grove City lead to 3-0. The fourth and final goal would be scored in the 75' minute off the foot of Kiara White, unassisted. The match would end with a scoreline of 4-0.
The Cougars, 1-5-2 in the PAC (8th), will take on Geneva on Tuesday, October 22nd with kickoff set for 7pm.Â
