PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Chatham Women's Volleyball snagged their first home win of the 2024 season on Tuesday night when they easily defeated Penn State Altoona 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-21).

Becca Gesner had a game high 13 kills for the Cougars (4-8), who also defeated Penn State Altoona on Sept. 14 by a 3-0 scoreline.
Alyssa Leskovac produced 12 kills and 17 digs for Chatham.
Sierra Ricci continued her defensive prowess for the Cougars by recording 27 digs.
Ava Plunkard's 33 assists were the second-most of her career.
                 "The fact that we executed and played pretty clean for most of the match, it was good to see us move in the right direction," Chatham head coach Joe Bortak said.
                 For the Lady Lions (9-9), Ella Hadley registered 12 kills to lead the team.
                 The Cougars trailed 17-12 in the second set of the match but were able to win the set 27-25 and eventually finish the sweep.
                 Chatham begins their conference schedule on Saturday, Oct. 5 with a trip to Grove City for a 1 p.m. match.
