CANTON, N.Y. - Jan. 27, 2024 - The men and women upset the Saint Lawrence Saints (ranked number 23 and 21 respectively). Both teams combined for nine sweeps in their 12 combined wins.
For the men, sophomore Sebastian Antonio Vaca Sanchez, sophomore Muhammad Hassaan Raza, junior Agustin Carranza and sophomore Abdelrahman Walid Sadek all swept their opponents.
On the women's side, five of their six wins were sweeps. Sophomore Vasundhra Vasanthan (7-11, 4-11, 7-11) and freshman Clara Braga (5-11, 5-11, 7-11) held their opponents to a total of 35 points.
The men (3-5) have now won two matches in a row and the women (3-5) ended their five match losing streak.
Women's squash's next match comes against number five Virginia while the men will play number 11 Virginia on Wednesday.
