PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2023) - Women's Volleyball beat Westminster (7-6, 0-0) for their second win in a row by a gentleman's sweep (19-25, 31-29, 25-15, 26-24). After dropping the first set, The Cougars outscored the Titans 60-41.
Five Cougars registered at least 7 kills, with seniors
Jena Williams and
Delaney O'Shea leading the way with 15 and 10, respectively. Freshman
Paige Watson had a career-high nine kills in the match. Chatham had 50 assists, with freshman
Ava Plunkard and senior
Jessie Spoerndle combining for 46. The Purple and White had success behind the line tallying 14 service aces. Senior
Amelia Bogovich led the match with six.
Defensively, The Cougars recorded six blocks and 91 digs. Plunkard had the lone solo block for The Cougars, while senior
Meghan Dominek led the match with 26 digs.
Chatham Women's Volleyball will travel to Thiel on Sept. 26 to take on the Tomcats.
