PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2023) - The Cougars struggled behind the line in their 1-3 loss against The Golden Tornadoes (5-4, 0-0). This match was the third home loss for Chatham Women's Volleyball, bringing their record to 4-4 on the year. 

The Purple and Gray recorded a season-high 17 service errors. Chatham struggled to hit the ball, tallying their second-most attacking errors (28) for the season. The Cougars' overall hitting percentage was .061, with multiple players hitting negative. 

Senior Jena Williams led the team with 11 kills. Seniors Delaney O'Shea, Amelia Bogovich and sophomore Alyssa Leskovac all completed at least 6 attacks. Freshman Ava Plunkard (17) and junior Natalie Keough (13) combined for 30 of Chatham's 35 assists. 

A well-rounded defensive effort saw Meghan Dominek lead with 25 digs. Leskovac defended 15 attacks, while nine other Cougars chipped in for a total of 80 digs. Freshmen Paige Watson and Zoie Bateman, along with Leskovac and senior Jessica Taney combined for 6 block assists in the match. 

Women's Volleyball will travel to La Roche on Sept. 21 for a rematch that saw The Cougars win 3-0 back on Sept. 1.
