Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. - April 15, 2023 - Chatham Men's Lacrosse traveled to Grove City for their third PAC matchup of the season. The defending conference champions would defend their own turf today, defeating the Cougars 16-4.
Junior Jett Davis would score the Cougars' first goal with just one second remaining in the first quarter in an unassisted effort.
Chatham's next two goals came in the following quarter, the first of which was netted by first-year Jacob Lubawy. Classmate Trent Griffin would find the back of the net to round out the first half, with an assist going to senior Brennen Redcay.
Griffin would score his second goal of the game late in the third, which was also the final tally on the board for the Purple and White.
First-year keeper Brett Zaruba was busy in net, making a career-high 18 stops.
First-year Ethan Joshi would collect a team-high three ground balls, followed by classmate Cody Rosati and junior Logan Blankenship with two apiece.
Rosati and Joshi were joined by sophomores Thomas Curtin, Jacob Sin, and Ethan Rinker, as well as junior Riley Lewis, in each causing one Wolverine turnover.
The loss puts the Cougars at 5-6 overall and 2-1 in PAC play. They look to begin another win streak on Wednesday, April 9th when they host Allegheny at Graham Field for a 7 PM start.
