LATROBE, Pa. - April 11, 2023 - Chatham Baseball lost its Tuesday afternoon contest at Saint Vincent by the score of 8-2. The loss puts the Cougars at 11-12 on the year and 4-5 in conference play.
Saint Vincent struck first with a run in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Bearcats, who batted in the top of each inning since the game was initially scheduled as a home game for the Cougars, added three runs in the fourth inning and one more in the fifth to take command with a 5-0 advantage. Each team scored a run in the seventh, with the Cougars tallying their first run thanks to a single from graduate outfielder
Nico Cuello that scored junior outfielder
Dylan Vogel. Cuello drove in another run with a double in the ninth, but it was too little too late for the Chatham offense.
Cuello ended the day 3-5 with a double and two RBI. Junior infielder
Benny Dottle, who is second in the PAC in both hits and batting average, was 2-4.
Baseball will face the Bearcats again tomorrow evening, this time at West Field.
