WAYNESBURG, Pa. - March 30, 2023 - Chatham Softball traveled to PAC opponent Waynesburg University this afternoon for their second conference matchup of the season. The Yellow Jackets would take game one 8-0 and game two 7-2.
Game one saw singles from seniors Justine Boyle and Mackenzie Dunn, as well as a double from sophomore Isabelle Griswold.Â
First-years Victoria Murren and Chelsea Stabile shared time in the circle. Murren struck out two Yellow Jackets in 2.2 innings before Stabile entered in relief.Â
In game two, the Cougars found more offensive success. Griswold would hit her second double of the day, scoring Dunn and classmate Kaitlyn Collins.Â
Collins would lead the Cougars in game two with three hits, followed by classmate Lauren Haak with two.Â
In the circle, first-year Cailyn Lucas pitched four innings and struck out one batter. Stabile pitched the final two innings.Â
The Cougars now stand at 1-3 in the PAC and 4-14 overall. They will travel to Geneva College on Saturday, April 1 for a 1 PM doubleheader with the Golden Tornadoes.Â
