BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - April 3, 2023 - Chatham Softball traveled to Geneva College this afternoon for a make-up PAC matchup with the Golden Tornadoes. The host team would win both games, by scores of 11-4 and 5-1, respectively.
In game one, first-year hurler Victoria Murren pitched 4.1 innings, striking out two batters. Classmate Chelsea Stabile would enter in relief, striking out one Golden Tornado.
Senior Kaitlyn Collins would log a team-high two hits in the first game, as well as two RBIs. Classmate Alyssa Hoffman, graduate student Kyley Fijalkowski, and Murren would each record one hit.
Game two did not see as much offense out of the Cougars, but senior Justine Boyle rallied two hits. Junior Savanna Ahlborn and Collins both added one hit each.
In the circle, first-year Cailyn Lucas suffered the loss, striking out one batter. Murren re-entered in relief, striking out four Golden Tornadoes.
The Cougars return to West Field tomorrow, April 4th, for a 6:30/8:30 doubleheader matchup against Grove City.
