ROSEMONT, Pa. - March 1, 2023 - Chatham Men's Lacrosse kicked off the new month today with a 10-6 non-conference victory at Rosemont College.
The first-year class shined as Alex Stanuikynas scored his first, second, third, and fourth collegiate goals, the fourth of which was the eventual game-winner. He also scored the game's only man-up goal.
Classmate Matt Woodall scored twice and Trent Griffin notched a goal and an assist. First-year Sam Nover tallied his career's first goal and assist in the win.
Sophomore Ethan Rinker had another stand-out night, scoring two goals and adding an assist while also picking up a third-best four ground balls.
Another impressive first-year effort came from Isaac Joshi, who led the team in assists with three. Rookie Jacob Lubawy had two assists and a team-high six ground balls.
Senior Clark Styles won 11 of 15 face-offs he took in the game. In net, sophomore Zen Smith made eight saves in his second win of the season.
The Cougars continue their spring break tear against Messiah College on Saturday. The game will be the final road matchup before their home opener against McDaniel on Wednesday, March 8.
