PRINCETON, NJ - February 12, 2023 - Chatham University's Women's and Men's Squash teams traveled to Princeton this morning for a doubleheader against the #3 ranked Tigers. Both teams would fall 9-0.
The Women played first, with Vasundhra Vasanthan and Valentina Della-Maddalena each securing individual set wins with scores of 11-9 and 11-7, respectively.
Other notable performances came from Basmala Syed Ahmed, who achieved 21 points total. Sofia Ramos Fortanelli followed 14 and Sofia Pinto had 13.
The Women now stand at 4-6 overall.
On the Men's side, Muhammad Hassaan Raza won a set 11-8, as did Jared Nalliah. Alaaeldin Abdelkhalik also won one set by a score of 11-9.
Haidar Jafry put up a valiant effort, totaling 22 points. Sebastian Antonio Vaca Sanchez did as well, trailing with 21 total points. Abdelrahman Walid Sadek tallied 16.
The Women's team stands at 4-6 and the Men at 7-5 ahead of upcoming College Squash Association (CSA) Nationals competition.
