WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Dec. 2, 2023) - The Cougars were shut out for their second straight loss in their game against Wilkes (7-3-0, 5-2-0). Chatham now sits in 10th place in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) standings at 3-6-0 overall and 2-5-0 in the conference. 

Wilkes scored their first two goals late into the first period. The Colonels led the shot count 14-9 in the second, but the Cougars did not let up a goal. In the final period, Wilkes would tack on two extra points on a power play and an empty net situation to close out the night. 

Chatham had multiple opportunities to score in the third period but only managed three shots on three power plays. 

This loss was the Cougars second straight and fourth out of their last five. They will face off against Wilkes again on Sunday at 4 p.m.
