BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Oct. 12, 2023) - Women's Volleyball rallied back down 2-0 to beat PAC rival Geneva (9-8, 2-2). The Cougars extend their winning streak to seven and remain at the top of the PAC standings.
After dropping the first two sets, the Cougars won the next three by an average of 5 points, taking the final set by a score of 15-11. Chatham was led by freshman
Paige Watson's 15-kill, 17.5-point performance. Multiple players contributed offensively with senior
Amelia Bogovich racking up 11 kills, sophomore
Alyssa Leskovac scoring nine and senior
Jena Williams putting down eight. Freshman

Delaney O'Shea combined for 15 kills on the evening. Freshman
Ava Plunkard (28) and senior
Jessie Spoerndle (21) tallied up 49 of Chatham's 54 assists. Plunkard and Leskovac also had seven total serving aces in the match.
Defensively, the Purple and Gray forced Geneva into a season-high 32 attacking errors. Watson, Leskovac and Taney each recorded a solo block, adding to the eight total blocks for Chatham. Senior
Meghan Dominek defended 26 Golden Tornado attacks, while Leskovac dug up 24. Plunkard and Spoerndle aided in the Chatham defense, digging up 12 and 10 attacks respectively. In total, the Cougars had 95 digs, which was the team's second most of the year.
Women's Volleyball now stands at 11-4, 3-0 on the year. The seniors for the team will be honored in Chatham's next match against Saint Vincent on Oct. 14 in the AFC.
