ANNAPOLIS, Md. - January 29, 2023 - Chatham Men's and Women's squash wrapped up competition at the Naval Academy in Annapolis on Sunday morning. Each squash suffered a 5-4 defeat, with the Men falling to Western University and the Women to Georgetown. The Men finish the weekend 2-1 and are now 7-4 on the year, while the Women fall to a 4-5 overall record.
The Women got wins from each of their top four seeds:
Sofia Ramos Fortanelli,
Basmala Syed Aref,
Vasundhra Vasanthan and
Valentina Della Maddalena. Ramos Fortanelli and Syed Aref each earned 3-0 victories.
On the Men's side,
Jared Nalliah,
Agustin Carranza,
Navaneeth Prabhu and
Muhammad Hassaan Raza earned wins, with Nalliah and Carranza earned 3-0 victories.
Men's and Women's Squash will be back in action to wrap up the regular season on Feb. 12 when they head to New Jersey to take on Princeton.
