BETHANY, W.V. - January 28, 2023 - Chatham Men's Basketball dropped Saturday afternoon's road contest at Bethany by the score of 83-65. With the loss, the Cougars are now 10-9 overall and 9-5 in conference.

Nick Bomar led the team with 18 points on 7-10 shooting including four three-pointers. Junior guard
Simon Boyer and junior wing
Geoffrey Helm scored 10 points a piece in 23 minutes played each. Sophomore guard
Isaiah Smith had eight points and six assists.
Bethany started the game on a 12-0 run, building a lead they wouldn't surrender for the length of the game. The Bison lead grew to as many as 19 in the first half, but the Cougars were able to narrow the game to just five at multiple points in the second half. The comeback effort would not be enough as the Bethany offense stayed in rhythm throughout.
The Bison out rebounded the Cougars 37-27 and won the turnover battle 11-7. Bethany shot 51.8% (29-56) from the floor and 46.7% (7-15) from three.
The Cougars are back in action at home on Wednesday night against Saint Vincent.
