ALTOONA, Pa. - January 21, 2023 - Chatham University Swimming & Diving went up against Franciscan, Pitt Bradford, and Penn State Altoona today at an away meet hosted by Penn State Altoona.
The meet kicked-off with the women in a 200 yard medley relay in which the team of
Abigail Glasspool,
Sydney Sweger, Alexis Ray, and
Hannah Kane finished at 2:17.20.
Both
Natalia Alardin and
Karl Gangloff competed in 200 yard freestyle events for times of 2:32.47 and 1:54.54 respectively.
Alexis Ray finished the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:23.07, followed by
Sydney Sweger at 1:25.66. Meanwhile, in the men's 100 yard breaststroke,
Hunter Holcomb earned a time of 1:14.29.
Chatham had five women swimming in the 50 yard freestyle:
Hannah Kane at 27:86,
Sydney Sweger at 30.10, Fiona Lilly at 33.68,
Cassidy Kinney at 34.22, and
Ilham Ariouat at 42.07.
Karl Gangloff and
Brady Gardner competed in the men's 500 yard freestyle with respective times of 5:10.22 and 6:05.75.
The Cougars finished up the meet with Fiona Lilly,
Cassidy Kinney,
Sydney Sweger, and Alexis Ray swimming together in the 200 yard freestyle relay. They finished with a time of 2:11.82.
On February 4
th at 1pm, the Cougars jump into the pool again for the Pre-PAC Tune-Up at Grove City.
