WAYNESBURG, Pa. - January 11, 2023 - Chatham Women's Basketball earned a 63-51 win over Waynesburg on Wednesday night. With the win, the Cougars are now 9-5 on the year and 6-4 in PAC play.

Emily Durkee led the Cougars with 16 points on 6-12 shooting. Sophomore guard
Zelimar Rodriguez added 15 points and grabbed five steals. Sophomore guard
Ashlie Louden had five steals of her own and led the team with four assists. First year forward
Alyssa Laukus paced the Cougars with seven rebounds.
Chatham started out slow in the opening frame and faced a five-point deficit entering the second after scoring just 11 points. The Cougars flipped a switch in the second quarter, opening the period on a 10-2 run which gave them a lead they would hold for the remainder of the contest. A six-point halftime lead for Chatham grew to as many as 20 in the fourth quarter.
Despite the double-digit win, the Cougars suffered their worst rebounding margin of the season, with the Yellow Jackets winning the battle on the glass 60-35. Chatham recorded 22 steals, their second most of the season and turned that into 31 points off turnovers. The Cougars also hit 10+ three pointers for the sixth time in the last eight games and the eighth time of the year.
Women's Basketball will continue its streak on the road Saturday afternoon at Franciscan.
