PITTSBURGH, Pa. - September 6, 2022 - Chatham Men's Soccer captured its first victory of the season with a 2-1 win at home over Hiram College. The Cougars improve to 1-1-1 on the young season.
Chatham held the advantage in shots on goal 6-4. Freshman midfielderÂ
Sam Schoensee led the Cougars in shots with four.
Sophomore midfielder
Julian Kroger opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with his first goal of the season, which was assisted by freshman midfielder
Henry Coombes.
The Cougars took a 2-0 lead on a goal from Schoensee thanks in part to a beautiful feed from freshman midfielder
Pearse Bialowas.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jason Kush made his career debut in net for Chatham, earning the win with three saves.
Keith Danley's squad is back in action Saturday at Oberlin at 2 PM.
