PITTSBURGH, Pa. - September 20, 2022 - Chatham Women's Volleyball hosted Waynesburg tonight in a non-conference meeting. The Cougars would end up sending the Yellow Jackets home early, taking the match 3-0 (25-13; 25-11; 25-16).

The Cougars got off to a hot start which they maintained throughout set one. This was due to quick offensive efforts from junior Amelia Bogovich, sophomore Jessica Taney, and first-year Abigail Willott. The three would continue to put up numbers, which were supplemented by first-year Alyssa Leskovac.

Set two saw a seven- and -six point lead back-to-back, cementing their win early on while limiting the opposing Yellow Jackets to just 11 points.

The third set started off point-for-point until senior Shaelah Pepperman stepped behind the line. She would serve for six straight points, two of which were service aces.

Alyssa Leskovac led the offensive charge with 12 kills, followed by Amelia Bogovich and Abigail Willott with 11 and seven respectively. Junior Baileigh Horan and Jessica Taney each contributed three kills and combined for three blocks.

Pepperman and libero Meghan Dominek each put up three service aces, and Dominek led the team in digs with 19.

The Cougars now stand at 5-5 overall with their next match coming on Thursday at Washington and Jefferson. Conference play is set to commence on Saturday, October 1st at home against the Presidents.
