OBERLIN, Ohio - September 17, 2022 - Chatham Women's Volleyball traveled to Oberlin College today after last night's two victories at the College of Wooster. They faced Haverford College before Oberlin, losing 3-0 and 3-2 respectively.

vs. Oberlin (L): 25-20; 18-25; 25-22; 19-25; 13-15
Against the Fords, the Cougars led in the first set for the majority of the point spread. Crucial kills were put forth by first-years Alyssa Leskovac and Abigail Willott, seniors Shaelah Pepperman and Rylee Ritko, and sophomore Jessica Taney. With the Cougars' 20th point, the Fords would go for seven straight to take the set.
Throughout most of sets two and three, Haverford held the lead. The Cougars almost forced a fourth set nearing the end of the third, with Abigail Willott and Meghan Dominek contributing several kills and service aces respectively to breach the 20-point mark.
The Cougars would bounce back against Oberlin, going into five sets as they reached 25 first in the first and third sets. Juniors Baileigh Horan and Amelia Bogovich would come up big with several kills and blocks each, joined by the offensive efforts of Willott and Leskovac to take the first set 25-20.
Despite a loss in the second set, the third set would end in Chatham's favor. Bogovich was especially dominant in this set, putting up four kills and four aces.
The Yeowomen would get the jump on the Cougars in the final set, leading by as many as five points until their run was interrupted by kills from Bogovich, Willott, and Leskovac. Oberlin would unfortunately pull ahead, however, ending the set at 15-13.
Alyssa Leskovac finished the day with 23 kills, followed by Abigail Willott with 17 and Amelia Bogovich with 13. Bogovich would also record a game-high five aces, all of which came in game two.
The Cougars are finally home again this coming Tuesday when they kick off PAC play with a 7 PM matchup against Waynesburg in the Athletics and Fitness Center.
