PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April 5, 2022 - Chatham University Women's Lacrosse hosted Bethany College this evening in a PAC matchup. After a 16-6 final in Chatham's favor, the Cougars improve to 3-0 in conference play while the Bison fall to 0-3.
The Cougars completely dominated offensively throughout the game, with the first quarter's goals being supplied by Anna Prendergast, Rachel Borucki, and Stephanie Walter (2).
The night would turn out to be Walter's as she went on to score a career-high six goals and added two assists for another career-high eight points.
Walter's second quarter goal would be the first of three for the Cougars, the other two of which were netted by Brielle Rapsas.
In the third, Walter would score three of four goals for the home team, Bailey Donofrio supplying the fourth.
Prendergast would own the fourth quarter, scoring four goals. Rachel Borucki would add the fifth (the team's 14th).
Despite the score, Aria Dietrich stayed busy in net, making 16 saves for a .727 save percentage on the night.
Rapsas led the Cougars in assists tonight with four while Kristin MacConnell led the team in ground balls with five. Samantha Beall-Dennell had a team-high three caused turnovers.
The Cougars will face their toughest conference opponent yet on Saturday, April 9th as they travel to Washington and Jefferson.
