PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April 1, 2022 - Chatham Women's Lacrosse hosted Westminster College tonight in their first home conference game of the season. Despite a tight first quarter, the Cougars broke open the offense to come out with a 14-4 win at Graham.
Rachel Borucki got the offensive action started on her own senior night, scoring within the first four minutes. Though Westminster would get the equalizer a minute later, Stephanie Walter would regain the lead for the Cougars.
The second quarter was the highest-scoring period of the game, seeing two goals from Phallon Kilduff, two from Stephanie Walter, and one apiece from Brielle Rapsas and Samantha Beall-Dennell.
The Cougars continued to dominate throughout the second half, with goals from Kilduff, Beall-Dennell, Walter, Bailey Donofrio, and Anna Prendergast.
Walter and Kilduff tied for the team high of four goals while Borucki and Rapsas tied with two assists.
In goal, Aria Dietrich made 10 saves, making her the new all-time leader in saves for Chatham Women's Lacrosse. Defensively, Dietrich was helped by Beall-Dennell, who caused a game-high four turnovers and scooped up a team-high seven ground balls.
