ADRIAN, Mich. – March 12, 2022 – The Chatham University men's lacrosse team traveled to the Great Lakes for a road matinee matchup with Adrian, falling 16-10 to the hosts. The Cougars' overall record falls to 1-4.
It was a good start for the Cougars, taking a pair of leads to begin the game. First-year

Patrick Brunner scored the only two Cougar goals in the first, giving Chatham one-goal advantages which evaporated when the Bulldogs led 3-2 after one.
In the second, the Cougars struck three times and kept the game tied on a couple of different occasions, however the tail end of the quarter and beginning of the third spelled the end of Chatham's chances in coming home with the win. Seniors

Nicholas Guaglione and
Adam Bleess all scored goals to tie the game. However, Adrian scored the final three goals of the half to go up 8-5 at the intermission.
The three-goal run turned into seven straight for Adrian at the start of the third. This included one goal just seven seconds into the half, which was preceded by one with three seconds remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs' largest lead read 12-5, but the Cougars would not go away quietly.

Ethan Rinker scored at the end of the quarter, then Chatham scored the first three goals of the fourth. O'Brien and Bleess each had a man-up goal with the latter adding another score, but Adrian eventually pulled away for good in the middle of the period. First-year
Justin Cook scored the final goal of the game, but it came with the outcome decided.
Chatham was outshot 49-31 for the game and 29-19 on goal. First-year
Zen Smith got his first collegiate start in net and had a valiant effort, stopping 13 shots.
The Cougars return home on Wednesday, March 16 with a 4:30 start against Hood.
