CLERMONT, Fla. - March 1, 2022 - Chatham Softball faced Wartburg College (IA) this afternoon at the Spring Games. Wartburg got off to a hot start, not giving the Cougars much opportunity to catch up.

The Cougars would have some offensive luck in the second, starting with a double from first-year Madison Fisher. She was then brought home with a hard ground ball up the middle hit by junior Danaya Carbajal.

Chatham would carry that offense into the third with a Mackenzie Dunn triple, to which graduate student Lauren McNany would follow with an RBI single.

Unfortunately, Wartburg would steal the momentum for the remainder of the game. However, the Cougars did get a good gap shot base hit out of junior Justine Boyle.

Chatham faces Rosemont College (PA) later this evening and looks to earn a split on the day.
