Game Recap: Women's Hockey |

Carmody Helps Cougars Past Amcats

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 19, 2022 - Chatham Women's Hockey hosted Anna Maria College again today. After an 8-1 win last night, Anna Maria came out ready for revenge, which would ultimately be spoiled by Cameron Carmody's lone goal of the game.

Chatham came out strong with 26 shots on goal in the first period, but were unable to find the back of the net. Anna Maria registered 15, but could not beat senior goaltender Katy Reed.

In the second, Reed shouldered the bulk of the total shots, stopping all 22 she faced. At the other end, none of the Cougars' 15 shots got past the Amcat goaltender.

In the third period, the Cougars called a timeout after drawing a penalty. The power play endeavor would ultimately end the game when sophomore Cameron Carmody scored the first and last goal of the game with just two minutes to go. She also won a game-high seven face-offs.

Reed would end the game with 29 saves for the shutout in the final regular season game of her collegiate career.

The Cougars have clinched a post-season spot, but their opponent and location is yet to be determined.
