PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 14, 2022 - The United Collegiate Hockey Conference has announced its weekly award winners for games played this past weekend. After a 2-0 weekend for Chatham Men's Hockey, first-year Zack Conner and senior Ricardo Gonzalez have earned this week's titles.
Conner was an offensive machine this past weekend yet again, helping generate net-front plays in Friday's come-from-behind win over Arcadia. He had two assists on the night, including the first goal that started the consequent scoring spree. On Saturday, Conner came up big with a regulation goal before scoring the game-winner in sudden death 3-on-3 overtime to help secure Chatham's spot in the postseason.
Gonzalez is this week's Goaltender awardee, having made 32 huge saves in Saturday's nail-biter. The night prior, he added another 25 stops to allow the Cougars to mount a comeback on home ice.
