Game Recap: Women's Hockey |

Women’s Hockey Dominates Neumann on the Road

ASTON, Pa. - February 11, 2022 - Chatham Women's Hockey traveled to Aston, Pennsylvania today for a UCHC matchup against the Neumann Knights. The Cougars would score early and often, giving them the edge they needed to get past the host by a final score of 6-1.

Sophomore Allison Corser-James would start the rally just 19 seconds into the game, thanks to an assist from senior Grace Pavlovich. Classmate Ally Nolan was the next Cougar to get on the board twice in a row, breaking the single-season scoring record in the process. Nolan would first score on the penalty kill thanks to help from her kill partner Corser-James. Then, just minutes later on the Cougar power play, Nolan would strike again off of cycle passes from senior Ashley Marchant and junior Brooke Almond.

The second period would finally see some offense from the Knights, but it was quickly erased thanks to senior Fiona Danahy. Assisting on Danahy's goal was Corser-James for her third point of the evening. First-year Rainey Jessup, along with a heads-up play from classmates Trinity Antonio and Christine Worms, would net her first collegiate goal to make the score 5-1.

Late in the third, Corser-James would score her second goal of the night with help from linemate Brooke Almond. Neumann would register seven shots in the period, all of which were denied by sophomore goaltender Lilly Rogers. Rogers would make 28 total saves on the evening.

In the circle, Almond and sophomore Cameron Carmody won a game-high 15 draws each.

The Cougars will remain in Aston ahead of their regular-season series finale tomorrow against the Knights once again at 2 PM.
