HENNIKER, NH - December 9, 2022 - Women's Hockey traveled to New England College this afternoon for a non-conference matchup. The Cougars would ultimately fall 5-2.
The Pilgrims would score twice before the Cougars answered back. Junior
Allison Corser-James netted the first goal of the night, converting a pass from line mateÂ
Brooke Almond.Â
The home team came back with two more goals, one on the power-play, to take a 4-1 lead. Chatham's
Lauren Carmody found the back of the net early in the third with the assist going to
Kaylynn Savoy on the power play. Unfortunately, the Pilgrims would score one final time to end the night.
Junior
Lilly Rogers made 33 saves in net, including 13 in the first period. In the circle, junior
Cameron Carmody won a team-high 14 draws. Graduate student
Ashley Marchant had a game-high four blocks and junior
Ally Nolan trailed with three.
The Cougars are back in action against the Pilgrims tomorrow at noon in New Hampshire.
