HUNTINGDON, Pa. - November 26, 2022 - Chatham Men's Basketball suffered a 78-67 loss at the hands of Juniata Saturday afternoon. The Cougars are now 2-3 on the year, with both wins at home and all three losses on the road.
Senior guard
Nick Fiumara led the Cougars with 22 points, which was a new career high, and shot 6-11 from three-point range. He also had five rebounds and four steals. Sophomore guard
Isaiah Smith added 19 points and made five threes of his own. Smith also led the team with four assists. Sophomore guard
Blaine Gartley led the team with eight rebounds.
Chatham trailed nearly the entire first half, but two late threes from Smith gave them a 37-35 lead going into halftime. The Cougars kept things close for the better part of the second half thanks to three-point shooting, but could not outlast the Eagles.
Juniata out rebounded Chatham 41-31, while the Cougars won the turnover battle 13-11. Of the Cougars 12 three-pointers, 11 came from Fiumara and Smith.
Men's Basketball will be back on the road at W&J on Wednesday.
