LANCASTER, Pa. - November 12, 2022 - Chatham Women's Squash went into day two of the Franklin and Marshall tournament this morning against the University of Pennsylvania, who is currently ranked #9 in the country. Penn would get the drop on the Cougars, sweeping them 9-0.
Despite the loss, each Cougar scored at least one point in each set of their respective matches.
#4 Valentina Della Maddalena topped the Cougars offensively, coming out with 17 points in sets of 11-8, 11-7, and 11-2.
#1 Basmala Syed Aref and #3 Sofia Pinto scored 16 total points each, followed closely by #2 Vasundhra Vasanthan with 15.
The Cougars are expected to play again tomorrow, November 13th in F&M's round robin against an opponent to be determined.
