COLMAR, Pa. - November 12, 2022 - Chatham Women's Hockey faced off against Arcadia this afternoon in their regular-season series finale. The visiting Cougars came from behind to defeat the Knights 3-2.
The lone goal scored in the first period was Arcadia's. However, the Cougars would answer back in the second, and then some.
Junior Kaylynn Savoy would find the back of the net on the power-play off of passes from classmate Abi Fuzaylov and senior Dena Akers to tie the game.
Just three minutes later, senior Brooke Almond and graduate student Ashley Marchant would work together to get the puck to junior Cameron Carmody, who gave the Cougars their crucial lead on yet another power-play.
Brooke Almond walked all the way around the offensive zone for another Cougars' power-play, picking the top corner to bury her game-winning goal late in the second.
Arcadia was unable to come back from the two-goal deficit, scoring only one in the third.
Almond had a team-high two points on the day stemming from her goal and assist. Junior Allison Corser-James had a team-high five shots on goal.
Cameron Carmody had a team-high 11 face-off wins and Almond added two blocks.
In goal, junior Lilly Rogers held strong for the Cougars, making 33 saves, including ten in the third.
The Cougars now stand at 1-2-1 in conference and look to extend their win streak to three next weekend as they host King's College.
