PITTSBURGH, Pa. - October 5, 2022 - Chatham Women's Soccer defeated Bethany 6-1 Wednesday evening at Graham Field. With the win, the Cougars are now 6-3-2 on the year and 2-1-2 in conference.
The Cougars dominated throughout, with a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Graduate forward
Tiffany Michalek opened the scoring for the Cougars in the fourth minute thanks to a nice through ball from graduate forward
Morgan Anderson.
The Cougars struck again in the eight minute when first-year midfielder
Halle Marsalis converted a penalty kick.
After a Bethany goal, the Chatham onslaught continued with two goals from Anderson just over 30 seconds apart. The first was assisted by Michalek and the second by first-year forward
Ainsley Smith.
Before halftime, Michalek scored her second of the match, with Smith again on the assist, and secured the hat trick in the 61st minute. This was her first career hat trick with the Cougars.
Chatham Women's Soccer returns to Graham Field this Saturday at 1 PM against Thiel.
