PITTSBURGH, Pa. - October 8, 2022 - Chatham Women's Soccer captured a 6-0 win over Thiel Saturday afternoon at UPMC Graham Field. With the win, Betsy Warren's squad is now ? on the year and ? in PAC play.

It was all Chatham for 90 minutes, with the Cougars beating the Tomcats in shots on goal 16-1 and corner kicks 14-2.

Graduate forward Morgan Anderson recorded a hat-trick for the Cougars, good for her third of the season. She leads Chatham with 14 goals.

Anderson got things going in a big way for the Cougars, scoring in the sixth and 15th minutes to spark a 2-0 lead. The first goal was assisted by senior forward Maggie Toomey and the second by graduate forward Tiffany Michalek.

Michalek scored a goal of her own in the 24th minute, which was assisted by first-year forward Ainsley Smith, who then scored two of her own, both in the first half. First-year midfielder Chiara Hutch assisted on the latter of Smith's two goals.

In the second half, Anderson scored her third of the match with an assist from sophomore midfielder Ava Krepp.

Chatham sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Ehrlich was in net for the first half and sophomore goalkeeper Katie Krecek played the second half.

Smith led the Cougars with four shots on goals.

Women's Soccer will be back on the pitch in Ohio Wednesday evening to take on Franciscan.
