PITTSBURGH, Pa. - October 29, 2022 - Chatham Women's Soccer won its PAC Quarterfinal matchup 4-0 against #5-seeded Bethany Saturday afternoon at UPMC Graham Field. The #4-seeded Cougars have now won six straight PAC Tournament matches dating back to the 2020-21 season.
The match was 90 minutes of domination for the Cougars, who won the shots on goal advantage 18-3 and took 12 corner kicks.
Senior forward
Maggie Toomey got the scoring started early for the Cougars, netting a goal in the eighth minute off an assist from first year forward
Ainsley Smith.
Chatham would score twice more in the first half, with one goal from graduate forward
Tiffany Michalek and another from senior defender
Malia Hinton. Both goals were assisted by senior midfielder
Emily Harvey.
Graduate forward
Morgan Anderson, who led the Cougars in goals during the regular season, capped off the match's scoring in the 66th minute.
Anderson led the Cougars with five shots on goal. In net, sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Ehrlich earned the shutout with three saves.
With the win, Women's Soccer advances to take on #1-seeded Westminster in New Wilmington on Wednesday.
