PITTSBURGH, Pa. - October 15, 2022 - Chatham Women's Soccer defeated Allegheny 2-1 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon at UPMC Graham Field. Following the win, the Cougars are now 8-3-3 on the year and 4-1-3 in PAC play.
The Cougars dominated in shots on goal with a 10-2 advantage.
Allegheny struck first early, but could not hold off the Chatham attack for long, as the Cougars scored on a Gators own-goal trying to defend a free kick. The goal was credited to graduate defender
Emily Martz for her first goal of the season.
In the second half, Martz's sister
Lizzy Martz scored her first career goal from over 40 yards out on a free kick to give the Cougars the 2-1 advantage.
