PITTSBURGH, Pa. – September 4, 2021 – The Chatham University women's soccer team opened the season with a stiff home test against Misericordia. In a hard-fought battle, the Cougars ended up on the short end of a 5-0 final score.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Tyler Colburn faced a swarm of Misericordia shots on goal, 23 to be exact. In 80:51 of action in net, Colburn stopped 18 of those shots. She was relieved by first-year goalkeeper
Hannah Ehrlich, who made a save in the final 9:09 of the game.
Chatham got off three shots, all of which were on goal. The first two came in the first half, courtesy of seniors
Morgan Anderson and
Emily Martz. The final shot on goal came off the foot of classmate
Paxton Steffy.
Chatham looks to rebound on Tuesday, September 7 when it plays host to Juniata College. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm at UPMC Graham Field.
