PITTSBURGH, Pa. - September 12, 2021 - Cougar Men's Soccer hosted the Elmhurst University Blue Jays this afternoon at Graham Field. The Cougars ultimately fell to the Jays 4-1 after a strong first half for the visitors.

Chatham played aggressive defense against a powerful Elmhurst offensive showing, resulting in seven first-half fouls and 11 corner kicks. Elmhurst's presence in front of the net would lead them to head several kicks from the corner, leaving first-year goalkeeper Trevor Rose little time to react.

It would take until the second half for Chatham to get on the board, thanks to a successful PK by senior Ryan Tahbaz.

Rose would end the game with eight saves, while Elmhurst's Noah Reed made two. Chatham committed 16 fouls and Elmhurst tallied nine.

The Cougars are back in action Wednesday, September 15 when they host Pitt Greensburg in another nonconference matchup at 7.
