BETHANY, W. Va. - September 11, 2021 - Chatham Volleyball traveled to Bethany College this afternoon for a trimatch with the Bison and Washington and Jefferson. The Cougars defeated the Presidents 3-1 before falling to the Bison 0-3.
Washington and Jefferson got off to a hot start in set one, defeating the Cougars 25-20. However, the Cougars took control of set two from the first serve, maintaining the lead throughout the entire set. Sophomore Amelia Bogovich served for seven straight points before Macy King stepped in for four. Up 24-15, junior Rylee Ritko got the set-ending kill thanks to a solid set-up from classmate Shaelah Pepperman.

Carrying their momentum from two straight set wins, the Cougars once more achieved the first point of the set. The Presidents, desperate for a win, increased their intensity and gave the Cougars a back-and-fourth game.
With Kaley Davis behind the service line, the Cougars broke the pattern by scoring five straight points, keeping the Presidents defeated beyond redemption.
