Senior Scoring Lifts Cougars Over Barons

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April 17, 2021 - Chatham Men's Lacrosse earned their first PAC win today after defeating Franciscan University 24-2. With today's game being senior day, the Class of 2021 accounted for 18 of Chatham's goals.

Senior Adam Bleess got the Cougar scoring started just under two minutes into the game. With in the next two minutes, he was joined on the scoreboard by classmates Daniel Napier for a man-up goal and Tyler Hayes.

Dillon Dugan was next on the board for the Cougars, earning a natural hat trick. Daniel Napier got his second goal of the night directly after, followed by two more goals by Dugan under the one-minute mark of the first quarter.

Senior Justin McCloskey netted Chatham's tenth goal to begin the second, followed by two goals from classmate Kyle Prewitt and another from Adam Bless.

The third quarter saw another surge in Chatham scoring with more goals from Bleess, Prewitt, Dugan, and Napier. Adding to the pack was first-years Riley Lewis and Isaac Joshi, as well as junior Nicholas Guaglione.

Two fourth-quarter goals were added by juniors Michael Porreca and Charles Bradsher to make the game end with an even 24 goals for Chatham.

Sophomore Zach Mayan won a game-high 13 face-offs, followed by senior Chase Baggs with six.

Senior Tyler Hayes and Lewis both finished the game with three assists.

Dillon Dugan tied the single-game goal record with seven, finishing the game with eight points.

In the cage, juniors Shane Gaglione and Greg Hensley had four saves apiece in the win.

The Cougars look to pick up another win on Wednesday, April 21st when they host Saint Vincent.
