PITTSBURGH, Pa. - March 27, 2021 - Chatham faced Elmira this afternoon to finish off the final regular-season series after a loss the day prior. Elmira got the jump on Chatham, netting six total goals.

The Cougars hung in with the Soaring Eagles to begin the game, outshooting them in the first half of the period. Elmira stepped up halfway through, netting two goals just 20 seconds apart.

Chatham played strong defense throughout the game, registering 30 blocks in aid of goaltender Lilly Rogers, who stopped 39. Bella Siren had a career-high 11 blocks, with Roxee Hughes and Ariel Garbin adding five and four respectively.

The Cougars limited the Soaring Eagles to 45 shots and increased their own offense, tallying 20 total shots. Allison Corser-James had a game-high five shots, followed by Sydney Collins with four and Cameron Carmody and Ariel Garbin with three each.

In the circle, Collins and Carmody combined for 25 face-off wins.

The Cougars have advanced to the quarterfinal round of the UCHC Playoffs, which will be held at Pittsburgh Ice Arena on Thursday, April 1st at 4 PM. Their opponent has yet to be determined.
